DIMETRODON shows elongated spines of the back vertebrae (3 feet / 1 m. long in centre). It lived in early Permian period (286 million years ago) in North America (Oklahoma, Texas). Its order is Pelycosauria, subclass Synapsida. Size 10 ft / 3 m long.The flying PTERANODON lived in the late Cretacerous period (114 million years ago)
