Heck Cow - Aurochs - mother with calf (Bos primigenius). Wild ancestor of domestic cattle. In 1920 two Brothers Heinz and Lutz Heck set out to re-create the primitive Aurochs Ox (Bos primigenius) which became extint in Poland in 1627. They bred domestic cattle with Aurochs like similarities and bred a mordern day hybid, the Heck Cow, which is an Aurochs reconstruction
