Beachfront property at Sandbridge near Virginia Beach, Virginia, is threatened by rising sea levels and erosion. Sea levels have risen at a mean rate of 1.8 mm a year for the past century, but this yearly rate has increased to 2.8 - 3.1 mm in recent years
