Giant / Goliath Tarantula / Bird-eating SPIDER (Theraphosa blondi). Lives in burrows in damp soil of forest regions of northern South America. Up to a 30cm leg span and can weigh over 120g. Among the largest of all spiders. Its compound eyes are visiible here
