Fin whale - Feeding on a school of sardine larvae (Balaenoptera physalus). Bay of La Paz, Gulf of California, Mexico. The whale came up lunging through the fish, body turned on its right side. We are looking into the bottom of the mouth, orange-pink, facing us. The upper jaw is nearer to us. Part of the baleen system is visible above this lower jaw at the left corner of the mouth
