Dinosaur trackways - Chile
Dinosaur trackways - Chile. Age: Titanian, Upper Jurassic, about 145 My old. Dinosaur trackway at Termas del Flaco, a site high in the Andes south-east of Santiago de Chile. Trackway of a large sauropod dinosaur (large plant eater animal) easily visible on this photo. The tracks were made in a layer of soft mud; the pressure of the foot of the animal pushed the mud aside, forming a rim that has been perfectly preserved. The inside of the print on the lower right measure 53 cm x 38 cm. There are also numerous small footprints of theropods (three-toed predators) criss-crossing the rock slab
