Zebra Finch, male drinking (Taeniopygia guttata). Lajamanu, northern edge of the Tanami Desert, Northern territoery, Australia. Found right throughout Australia except for the extreme north and southern coastal areas. Largely a bird of drier inland areas avoiding heavily settled coastal regions. Inhabits spinifex, mulga and arid grassy woodlands but always within reach of water
