Rainbow / Red-collared Lorikeet
Rainbow / Red-collared Lorikeet (Trichoglossus haematodus ). This red collared form is sometimes given full species status or is lumped with Rainbow Lorikeet as a subspecies. Feeds on orchard fruit eg mangoes. Also nectar and berries.Found only in the far north of Northern Territory and Western Australia. Inhabits open forests, gardens, woodlands and urban areas
