Quokka

Quokka (Setonix brachyurus). Australia. This marsupial is endemic to the south western corner of Australia where it lives in forest and heathland. On Rottnest Island where this photo was taken it is a tourist icon but it is regarded as vulnerable. It is member of the wallaby, kangaroo and pademelon family
