Magpie-lark, male (Grallina cyanoleuca neglecta). Kupungarri, Kimberleys, Western Australia. A very common species possibly Australias best known bird. Found right throughout Australia except in the driest deserts in Western Australia. Inhabits all habitats from cities and coastal regions to arid inland regions so long as there is enough water to construct their mud nests. Also known as Mudlark and Peewee
