Eastern Reef Egret, white morph. (Ardea (Egretta) sacra). Roebuck Bay, Broome, Western Australia. Common around the northern and eastern coasts, less so in the south where the grey morph predominates. Rare Victoria and Tasmania. Strictly marine. Prefers rocky shores and coral reefs, but infrequent on long sandy beaches. Also mudflats, mangroves and offshore islands
