Common Sandpiper (Tringa (Actitis) hypoleucos). Roebuck Bay, Broome, Western Australia. Widespread but generally uncommon around Australian coasts where it is found among rocks, reefs, mangroves but avoiding long sandy beaches. Also inland around billabongs, rivers, and wetlands. Often solitary
