England - Aerial view of the Uffington White Horse
England - Aerial view of the Uffington White Horse, a 110 metre long chalk hill figure. Oxfordshire. Research results using a technique called Optically Stimulated Luminescence, which measured the length of time buried soil has been shut away from sunlight, have suggested an origin for the giant horse figure at between 1400 and 600 BC
