England - Aerial view, Blakeney Point, Norfolk. Blakeney Point is a shingle spit, consisting of a long bank of sand and shingle. It emerges from cliffs at Weybourne and runs northwestwards along the coast to the north of the Glaven estuary. It is formed through the process of accretion.Aerial shows the extensive network of marshy creeks that meet at Blakeney Point, with salt marshes and mud flats on the landward side. It is a natural wildlife sanctuary, noted for its colonies of breeding terns, the common and grey seals and rare migrant birds that pass in the spring and autumn. Some 263 species of birds have been recorded here, and the plant life is extensive
