England - Aerial view, Blakeney Point. Norfolk. An extensive network of marshy creeks meet at Blakeney Point, a vast spit of shingle and sand dunes, with salt marshes and mud flats on the landward side. It is a natural wildlife sanctuary, noted for its colonies of breeding terns, the common and grey seals and rare migrant birds that pass in the spring and autumn. Some 263 species of birds have been recorded here, and the plant life is extensive
