Levant Cotton
Levant Cotton Native to regions of sub-Saharan Africa. A perennial shrub which grows to approx. 6ft in height - It has small yellow flowers with purple centres - In warm weather the ripe seed bursts to expose the cotton, which is firmly attached - The cotton has many textile uses, and is grown commercially - Private garden. Tenerife - February. (Gossypium herbaccum)
