Honey Fungus / Boot-lace Fungus, found in dense clusters on or around trunks or stumps of deciduous trees (Armillaria mellea). Nap Wood Nature Reserve, East Sussex. UK October. This is one of the most dangerous parasites of trees.causing intensive white rot. and ultimately death. This fungus is responsible for large losses of timber each year. Very common and edible when cooked
